Made for my sister's boyfriend, part one of a pair of drawings, each about 40x50cm in size.
I wanted to experiment with high background/foreground contrast, making one picture with strong backlighting and one with strong lighting from the front. As it turned out, I made two backlit drawings. Ah, well. Reference used for her hand. HB (normal pencil and mechanical), B6 and B9 pencils on paper (for pens, or so it says. Very good for drawing with pencils. Smudges easily). February 2008. |
